The history of the Barons Langwerth von Simmern at Rheingau dates back to the year 1464, when Johann Langwerth von Simmern received 32 2/3 Morgen (approx. 25 acres) of “Hattenheimer Mannberg” as for his services as chancellor to Duke Ludwig von Pfalz-Zweibrücken. Freiherr von Simmern has 100% specialized in producing only Riesling. The unusual label on the bottle shows the coat of arms of the nobleman von Simmern in the Middle Ages. The beautiful estate and the impressive cellars in Eltville are worth visiting if you should come to Germany.

|2009 Eltviller Riesling Kabinett trocken
Aromatic nose of peaches, oranges, lemons and white flowers. Round and friendly. Certainly very juicy and ripe yet leaves a clean sensation on the finish. Dry on the palate. Excellent as an aperitif by itself or with an appetizer.
|2010 Eltviller Riesling Kabinett feinherb
Aromatic nose of peaches, oranges, lemons and white flowers with more tension than the 2009. Certainly very juicy. Very high acidity here but countered nicely by both the characteristic richness of a Rheingau with a touch of sweetness on the palate. Excellent as an aperitif by itself or with an appetizer.
|2010 Hattenheimer Mannberg Riesling Spätlese
An elegant and robust wine filled with yellow fruit aromas. The medium sweetness balances well with the piercing acidity. Stays in the palate for a long finish. Matches well with fried or stewed meat and seafood.
|2010 Hattenheimer Mannberg Riesling Erstes Gewächs
The flagship dry wine. Floral and aromatic, very ripe passion fruit, robust minerality. All wrapped in a structured acidity spine. A majestic wine. Enjoy this with a robust main course.
|2010 Hattenheimer Mannberg Riesling Auslese (375ml)
The flagship dessert wine. Lusciously sweet with concentrated blood oranges and grapefruit coupled with the racy acidity which keeps everything in perfect balance. A stunning dessert wine which you will reach for glass after glass.
