2019s from @annesophiefleurie and @domainecabissou freshly in stock. Fleurie vs Julienas. Why choose when you can have both?
584 bottles, a micro cuvee indeed from @benjamin.benoit_. Color was as light as a Ploussard can be, with some black tea on the edges. Palate was clean, fresh and zippy. Surprisingly very drinkable now!
This was a little unusual. Popped and tasted several hours later, this was tight and not showing anything much. I thought it was a 2014 Bourgogne. We kept it aside and revisited it 2 hours later... BAMMMMMMMZZZ 💥💥💥 the Puligny power came out in full force. Felt like a completely different wine. Powerful, broad and mouth-filling, Grand Cru-like. Very impressive but if you have some please keep it for a few years first.
With just 327 bottles in existence, this is not a wine we pop on a whim. From the 2016 vintage, this was bright beautiful red, reminiscent of a Jura Pinot or Poulsard. A sign this is not your usual Rosé. But first, this shouldn’t be compared with all the great Rosés. And that’s not a bad thing at all. For the first hour, this was redolent of a garden of fresh berries still waiting to be plucked. Bright, sweet and crunchy. Alcoholic mixed berry juice to be blunt. But with air, the vinousity emerged and gained more weight and perfume. But the best is always at the last. And when the bubbles dissipated, what’s left behind is a still red wine of the lightest extraction. So pure, so transparent yet so clean and precise. Another wine altogether. And it’s then that everything fits in place. This is what it really is, an infusion of Pinot Noir. A celebration of this capricious but rewarding varietal. A special wine indeed and the one which opened my eyes to the raw talent of @champagne_antoinebouvet in the beginning. I simply love it. 👍🏼
Classic @louisjadot nose. Reminds me of my early days when I just discovered Burgundy. Their wines may never be #trendy but will always have a special place in our hearts.
So what does the 🦊 say? He says in 2017 due to major frost, all their 🍇 were blended into just 1 red and white cuvee, a once off rarity not to be missed! 🦄
